Farmstead Team
The following individuals (and others as needed) are being trained and deployed to work as a team on the NayaJahan Project‘s agricultural land, manage daily farming, and develop the project. Their specific duties and responsibilities are being determined as the project grows:

| Azeem Ullah Khan | Lawyer / Project coordinator – Choose and deploy a team of participants to work on the land, manage daily farming, and develop the NayaJahan project. Coordinate and assign tasks to the team with their specific duties and responsibilities. |
| Irfan Ullah | Agricultural land provider – assisting the NayaJahan team to cultivate the agricultural land, growing vegetables, fruits, olives. Raising poultry (chickens, etc.), sheep, and cows. Building temporary or semi‑permanent farm structures (coops, sheds, simple fencing). Demonstrating a working farmstead to visitors, potential members, and the local municipality. |
| Salman Ullah | Landscaping – for the model farmstead, including: Designing and planting gardens, pathways, and decorative areas. Planting native Sicilian plants, trees, and erosion control. Creating a beautiful and functional outdoor environment that showcases the farmstead to visitors and the municipality. |
| Salman Farooque | eCommerce, Journalist, Farmer – setting up online sales for farm produce (olive oil, eggs, etc.). Writing articles, newsletters, and social media content to promote NayaJahan. Hands‑on work in cultivation and animal care. Maintaining and updating SunSicilia.online (NayaJahan section). He will also help document the NayaJahan journey through video/photos for online learning platforms. |
| Khizzer Qureshi | Online digital courses maker -Create online digital courses related to farmstead activities. Courses on organic vegetable gardening, poultry keeping, cheese making, off‑grid living, etc. These courses can be sold to generate income for the cooperative or offered free to members. |
| Azhar Bhatti | Farmer – Advising on crop rotation, soil health, irrigation, and animal husbandry. Training other members in practical farming techniques. Helping plan seasonal planting and harvesting schedules for the cooperative land. |
| Syed Asad Ali | By-laws, SOP Compliance – Ensuring the cooperative’s activities comply with Italian agricultural, environmental, and cooperative laws. Assisting in drafting internal rules and by‑laws for NayaJahan. Liaising with Legal section in documentation and filings. |
| Khawaja Yosufuddin | Civil works – Development of site, farmstead, renovation, re-build the ruin area and site. Supervising the construction of farm buildings, barns, and simple housing structures. Maintaining and repairing existing buildings on the land. Advising on durable, low‑cost building materials suitable for Sicilian climate. |
| Ashar Masood | Logistics – Planning the export of agricultural produce (olive oil, dried herbs, etc.) to international markets, including Pakistan and the EU. Managing transport, customs documentation, and supply chain coordination. Advising on cost‑effective shipping and storage solutions. |
| Geom Misuraca Giuseppe | Local Relations – Managing relations with Mussomeli’s municipality, neighbours, and local businesses. Translating and interpreting for Pakistani members when needed. Representing NayaJahan in local meetings, festivals, and community events. Helping bridge cultural gaps and building trust with Sicilian institutions. |
| Avv. Roberto Indovina | Notary / Legal advisor – Handling the formal registration of the NayaJahan cooperative (Atto Costitutivo and Statuto). Ensuring all legal requirements for land usufruct, leasing, or purchase are met. Advising on Italian cooperative law, tax obligations, and member rights. |
| Zina | Hospitality – Managing any guesthouse or agritourism accommodation on the cooperative land. Handling bookings, guest relations, housekeeping standards, and breakfast services. Training other members in hospitality best practices. Helping create a welcoming environment for agritourism visitors. |
